KoratKorat is a platform for ordinary everyday commerce — messaging, ordering food, buying things, booking a room or an appointment, with the console the shop on the other side of the counter actually works from. The name comes from a city; it is not the platform's boundary. Any shop can open on it, and a customer can be anywhere.
What Korat does
Korat is an Android app and a web app on one backend. Twenty-one modules: chat and calls, a social feed with stories, groups, dating, food ordering and dine-in, a retail shop, stays, service and clinic bookings, health tracking, a business console, a trust layer, a plugin system, sports clubs, digital business cards, queueing, parking, my workplace, rentals, an asset register, jobs and hiring, and events and tickets. Ten languages, chosen from your device on first launch.
Korat is free, has no advertising, and does not process card payments — a customer pays a shop in cash or by PromptPay QR, directly, and Korat takes nothing out of the middle.
Korat's four principles, the ones actually applied
Compact first
Lists are the content and padding is not. A row is a row, not a card with a shadow; the design system fixes the spacing so no screen can quietly get twice as tall as it needs to be.
Everything real or labelled
A button that does nothing is worse than a button that is missing. If something is a demo it says so on the screen. That rule is why this website carries a “what Korat does not do” list rather than hiding it.
A failed load is never an empty state
“No data” and “the request failed” look identical and mean opposite things. Every list in Korat distinguishes loading, failed with a retry, filtered to nothing, and genuinely empty — because showing a broken request as “nothing here” reads as “my data is gone”.
The server owns money and permission
Prices, fees and roles are decided in the database. A client field that the server trusts is a discount the client can grant themselves, which is why placing an order ignores the fee the app sent it.
Where Korat stands today
Korat is a working product, not a finished company. There is no Play Store listing yet — which is the only channel the Android app will ship through — no App Store listing and no iOS build. It has no funding round to announce, no user numbers worth quoting, and no press. What it does have is a codebase where every module is connected to a real database and a real console, which is a less common thing than it sounds.

Korat: where the name comes from, and the cat
Korat is named after Nakhon Ratchasima, the city everyone in Thailand calls Korat and the gateway to Isan. The name was chosen because it is short, memorable and pronounceable in every language — not because the platform serves one province. Plenty of brands are named after the town they started in and sell everywhere; this is one of them.
Korat is also a breed of cat — a small silver-blue cat from Nakhon Ratchasima, traditionally given in pairs as a gift of good fortune. That is where the logo comes from, and why the loading animation is a cat drawing itself.
