KoratCreate your business
Open the business console and click "Create business" — follow these steps:
- 1Choose a shop type, such as restaurant, shop, spa, pharmacy, auto repair, lodging, or "Other / office" for an organization that doesn't sell over a counter — choosing "Restaurant" asks for a cuisine type too (e.g. Isaan, made-to-order), and the shop will also show up in the food menu for customers to find.
- 2Set the business name, address, subdistrict/district/province, and shop phone number — the address is used for customer search and for delivery distance calculations.
- 3Click "Create" — the business is created immediately, and you automatically get the "owner" role for that business.
Every shop type gets the full staff system — whichever type you choose, a new business immediately has clock-in, shifts/payroll, jobs, and staff management ready to use, with nothing extra to turn on.
One Korat account can create more than one shop, and you can switch between shops you own or are staff on from the same console.
Invite your team
Go to the "Staff" page in the console and add people with these steps:
- 1Click "Add staff" and enter the Korat ID of the person you're adding (this ID is visible from their own profile in the Korat app — you'll need to ask them for it first)
- 2Pick a role for that person (see the role list below) — you can choose it right when adding them to the team
- 3Confirm — that person can open this shop's console immediately, with the permissions of the role you picked
You can remove someone from the team on the same page — their Korat account is unaffected, and their past work history isn't deleted, they simply can no longer open this shop's console.
Roles and basic permissions
Each person on the team has a single role, which determines which menus they can reach in the console:

| Manager | Manages staff, clock-in/out, announcements, payroll (view reports), menu/products, the shop page, replying to customer chat, viewing customer data, kitchen/tables, delivery, bookings, POS counter sales — close to an owner but not everything |
| Waiter | Views kitchen orders, opens/closes tables, table bookings, takes delivery orders, POS counter sales |
| Kitchen | Views kitchen orders and marks them as done cooking |
| Cashier / warehouse / front desk / technician / housekeeping / sales | Role-specific duties used by certain shop types (e.g. lodging uses "front desk", repair shops use "technician") |
| Staff | The most basic role — can only reach what every team member can do (e.g. clocking their own time in and out) |
If a menu in the console looks greyed out or can't be clicked, your role doesn't have that permission yet — ask the shop's owner or manager to adjust your role from the "Staff" page.
