Two lists, kept separate on purpose
The Orders page shows two clearly separate kinds of work, because each has a different next step:
- Online orders — regular orders customers place for products or food through the app, with buttons here in the console to move the status forward step by step
- Delivery / pickup — orders for delivery or pickup at the shop, shown with full detail (items, customer, phone number, address) but as a view-only list — status updates and closing the job happen in the Korat app used by front-of-house staff, not in the web console
The two tabs at the top of the page are "Needs action" (orders not yet finished) and "Done" (orders that are closed or already rejected) — if a new order is waiting on you, the "Needs action" tab shows a red dot.
Online order statuses
Online orders move through statuses one step at a time — press the button on the order card to move to the next step:
| Current status | Button pressed | Becomes status |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | Confirm order | Confirmed |
| Confirmed | Start packing | Packing |
| Packing | Shipped | Shipped |
| Shipped | Customer received it | Delivered |
Every step that isn't finished yet always has a "Reject" button next to it — use it when an item is out of stock or you can't deliver to that area
Adding a tracking number when you press "Shipped"
The step from "Packing" to "Shipped" is the only one that asks for extra information before changing status, because a tracking number needs to be recorded along with it:
- 1Press "Shipped" — a box opens asking you to choose a carrier and enter a tracking number
- 2Pick from the list of carriers your shop has already set up, or choose "Other" if you're shipping with a carrier not on the list
- 3Confirm — the tracking number shows as a tracking link visible to both the shop and the customer (if that carrier has an online tracking page), or as a plain number you can copy if it doesn't
Rejecting an order
Press "Reject" on the order and type a reason (e.g. "out of stock" or "can't deliver to this area") before confirming:
- All items in that order are returned to stock automatically
- The customer sees the reason you wrote
- The order stays in the history as normal, and the customer can still place a new order with the shop
Orders that include alcohol
Delivery orders containing alcoholic drinks show a yellow warning strip on the card — the staff member delivering it must check the recipient's ID card in the Korat app before closing the job. The system will not let this type of order be closed until the age check passes (per Section 32 of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act).
Where it can break
| Symptom | Cause / fix |
|---|---|
| Orders fail to load | Temporary connection failure to the server — press "Retry" on the screen's button |
| Carrier list fails to load | Doesn't affect the order queue itself — you can still confirm/pack normally, only when entering a tracking number you may not be able to pick a carrier from your shop's list; use "Other" as a temporary workaround |
| Delivery orders fail to load | The warning shows separately from the online queue — don't read it as "there are no delivery orders"; press "Retry" or open the Korat app to double-check |
| Status update fails | The button becomes clickable again with the real reason from the server — try again, and contact support if it still fails |
