Add a new product
- 1Press "Add product" in the corner of the screen
- 2Enter the name, price, photo, and category — categories can be typed freely, no need to pick from a fixed list; the system automatically groups items typed with the same category together
- 3Save — the product appears in the shop immediately for customers browsing through the Korat app/website
Search and filter by category
Use the search box above the grid to find products by name, SKU, or brand, and press a category chip to filter to just that category — the number on each chip counts across the shop's whole catalog, not just the search results, so you know how many items really exist in that category.
Product status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| On sale | Customers can order this item normally |
| Out of stock | Temporarily closed for sale — toggle the switch on the product card instantly when it runs out or comes back in stock, no need to delete the product |
| Discontinued | The product was already referenced in an old bill or review, so it's changed to "Discontinued" instead of being permanently deleted — customers won't see it anymore, but past sales and reviews stay intact |
Products that include alcoholic drinks always carry an "Alcohol" tag, and promotional discounts are never shown on this type of item (per Section 32 of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act).
Deleting a product
Press the trash icon on the product card and confirm — customers won't see this product anymore, old orders that include it stay intact, and past sales figures don't change:
If anyone has already ordered this product, the system automatically changes it to "Discontinued" instead of permanently deleting it, so sales history/reviews aren't damaged — no need to worry about deleting by mistake and losing data.
No products in the shop yet
If the shop has never added a product, the page shows "No products in the shop yet" with an "Add product" button you can press to start right away — this is different from a search with no matches, which instead says "No products match your search" (these two messages are deliberately kept separate, so you don't mistake "the shop has no products" for "the filter just found nothing").
Where it can break
| Symptom | Cause / fix |
|---|---|
| Menu fails to load | Temporary connection failure to the server — press "Retry" on the screen's button |
| Delete fails | The real reason from the server shows as a notification — try again, and contact support if it still fails |
| Product has no photo | Not an error — a product with no uploaded photo shows a blank image icon instead; customers can still order it normally, but adding a photo is recommended for better sales |
