Set up promotions and coupons

4 kinds of discount/incentive tools the shop sets up itself — Happy hour, member price, coupons, and free shipping over a threshold. Each serves a different goal; picking the right section saves the most time.

Happy hour

A discount that only applies during a time window the shop chooses — pick days of the week and a start–end time (you can span past midnight, e.g. 22:00–02:00).

  • 1Choose the scope: the whole shop, a specific category, or a single product
  • 2Choose the discount method: percentage or a fixed amount
  • 3Choose whether it stacks with the member price or not

The time used to decide this is the shop's timezone (set on the Shop settings → Region and language page), not the timezone of the device you're using to change settings · alcoholic drinks never qualify for promotions, by law.

Member price

Set a special price per product for customers at a given membership level — this is a price per product, not a percentage discount off the whole bill.

Membership level comes from the "Loyalty points" page and matches customers by phone number · the member price only applies when it's cheaper than the price that customer would already get from another promotion — they never stack in a way that loses the shop money.

Coupons

Discount codes customers type in when ordering online — set the discount type, maximum discount cap, minimum order amount, valid time window, and usage quota.

  • 1Set the code, discount type (percentage/fixed amount), and the maximum discount cap
  • 2Set the minimum amount to use the coupon, the valid date range, and total number of uses allowed
  • 3Save, then send the code to customers yourself — the system does not blast the code out automatically

Coupons discount the whole order total — to discount a specific product, use "Happy hour" instead · only one coupon per order, and if the order is cancelled, the coupon is always returned to the pool for reuse.

Free shipping over a threshold

Set a minimum order amount that qualifies a customer for free shipping, split by fulfillment channel (e.g. delivery only), with an optional valid time window.

The threshold is measured from the product value before coupons are applied — applying a coupon does not make the shipping fee bounce back and get recalculated · to set shipping cost by distance in kilometers, go to Distance-based shipping instead.

What can break

SymptomCause / fix
Saving a promotion failsThe button becomes clickable again with the real reason from the server; everything you entered is still there
Customer used a coupon but the price didn't dropCheck that coupon's minimum amount, valid time window, and remaining quota — the amount shown in the cart before ordering is the real figure computed by the server
Member price doesn't show for some customersThat customer may not have reached the set membership level yet, or another cheaper promotion already applies — the system always automatically picks the cheapest price, never stacking the member price on top
Happy hour doesn't cut the price at the time you expectCheck the shop's timezone on the settings page, not the timezone of the device you're viewing the screen on
